Playdate, First time out with all 3 alone

3/30 I take all kids by myself to Barfeild crescent Park with moms from the Murfreesboro Twins club (POMC). It was a gated area that they could not escape! Yeah! Kids had so much fun we eat lunch at chickfila alone too!!

POTATO Egg hunt

3/24 we go to the POTATO Easter egg hunt. Kids have fun we get there late so we do not get to hide or hunt eggs. Kids liked the sidewalk chalk and the ducks in the water. We went home to take a nap. WE finally got Austin to sit with the Bunny. Of course not Madison.

3/13 Mom and I took Alexis to get her pics made at Sears. She was awake the whole time and did good. Madison and austin did not want a picture taken with the baby at all. OH well maybe next time.. We then went to Applebee’s to eat.

Tonight I had an Officers Meeting at Santa fe, Alexis went and slept the whole time!

3/10 we go to the YMCA baby fair and get car seat checked and we pass with flying colors the cop said Adam had them in there real secure they were impressed. We went to

Sick Madison

Sunday Madison’s fever hits 104 so I decide to take her to the Dr at the clinic she has an ear infection and strep. So we get meds and go home. We keep her away as much as possible from everyone. Her fever breaks Monday. So all is good just cont meds. Well it comes back, so on wed I take Alexis for a weight check and she is 7 lbs 15 oz YEAH dr Donnelly said YEAH no more having to wake her up to eat let her demand it when she wants to eat. I also mentioned that Madison was not getting 100 Percent better. I told her what happened. She said that meds *zpack* that was given will only treat her ear infection. So she gives me a prescription for the right meds for the strep. And It will help the ear too and said stop the other med. Well on I believe 2 days later 3/16 she wakes up saying everything hurts she said she could not stand up. I called mom over and her and Jared came to stay with Austin and Alexis. I took Madison. She gets checked out. She has the FLU and another ear infection in the other ear. She said since she had the flu shot that the symptoms will be lessened to about 4 days. Well she was the worst I have ever seen her she was pitful. The next day she was amazingly much better! Thank god Austin did not get it or the baby.

Adams Parents In town

Monday Adams Mom and dad leave to come stay for a week with us. They get here at like 8p. I had my first day alone with all of them. It was not that bad. Hardest part is while nursing they go crazy and wild. Calen is not here this week either.
While his parents were here I was able to get Alexis on a some what routine. They watched the twins most all of the day. I was so grateful for that I needed to get her feeding like a champ and such. I took her to the weight on wed. She was 7 lbs 4oz so dr hunter (not our dr) wants us to come back again in a week. Friday Adam and I and the baby go to eat while Adams mom and dad watch the twins. Madison started a fever on Thursday night. She complained of her tongue hurting I thought she bit it but she apparently had a sore throat. She conts it thru the weekend. Sat Adams parents leave before I wake up so I did not get to say goodbye, I thought Adam would wake me up but he did not want to bother me after being up every 2 with the baby.

Adams week off

2/26-3/2 Adam was home from work. Monday Adam watches Judah while I take the kids all of them to see meemaw; she wanted to see the baby bad. My mom was there too. Meemaw was still in her hospital bed and this was the first time the kids have seen her since when she first went in the hospital. Madison did not like seeing her meemaw like that. Austin was fine with hugging her and stuff. Meemaw held Alexis a lot. Oh the twins call Alexis Baby “Ali” This is my last week of Judah. He is going to preschool. Caelan was not here this week at all. 2/27 her first bath was done! I took Alexis to the dr 2/28 she weighed 6 lbs 15oz and measured 19 ½ in which means the hospital measured wrong. Because she could not gain 1 in in one week. We are to come back for weight check in one week. I need to wake her up every 2 hours to eat until weight check. Friday I called to let Judah mom know I was not watching him today. We needed one day with just daddy as a family. We went to Ryan’s for dinner as a family for the first time. Alexis is a good sleeper so far. I have to wake her to eat.

Baby Alexis

2/19 she had to go to the NICU. She was put on a nasal canula. She needed to get her breathing under control. They also wanted to check out her heart she has a premature something or another called PAC. Basically it was a little piece of something in her heart that we all have and it usually goes away at birth but hers did not. It did not cause her to have an extra heartbeat, skip a beat or nothing bad just it was a “spike” on the strip reading. They would have never know it if she was not in the NICU on a monitor. I have to stay in my room without baby. I started pumping milk for her right away. She was not allowed to eat yet. Adam took Monday (the 19th off)
2/20 went to work Tues, 1 am I went to the NICU and some other nurse not ours told me to not touch my child! I was PISSED! To say the least. This is my baby that I gave birth to and carried for 9 mo. Not yours! All her Glucose checks were good. 9:30 am she said she should go home in 2 to 3 days. She said I still can not hold her. It made no sense to me she said until her breathing is under control. She said she would rather be holding a preemie than a full term baby. Her bili was 10 tomorrow check again and if up she will need to go under the light. The nurses would hang out over you while you were in there to see your baby. They would push you aside if your baby go upset and told me how to console her. Did she know that I had twins who are 2 and were preemies and I was neither a new mom nor a dummy! She also told Adam that she the baby does not like more than one person touching her at a time! Oh my this is not a preemie woman!
2/21 wed Adam is at work. 12 am I went down to see her. She keeps pulling tubes out..
2/22 Thurs Adam at work bili was up to 10.8 still can not hold her. But she will get fed 10 cc every 3 hrs starting at 11:45a. The cardiologist will come today to do an echocardiogram and look at the heart monitor strips. Dr said the latest she will go home is Monday. She brought the kids to see me and Baby sissy, after Madison’s Pediatric ortho appointment. Madison was excited and loved seeing baby sissy, she said baby sissy come home. After Madison saw her she came out to get Austin so he could go in and she went running to him saying “ bubby bubby go see baby sissy” she said this with the biggest smile on her face. Austin went in and was no so sure about her he had a concerned look on his face, Alexis started crying while getting checked and fed by tube. We asked him if baby sissy come home and he was he said “baby sissy, bye baby bye”. Before leaving he said my baby sissy my baby. 2p the cardiologist came in, he said her heart was structurally good she had PAC. We will follow up 2 weeks after leaving the hospital to make sure it is all good. She was good the while entire exam.
5 am her blood work was great. Should get to hold her today. I got released today. In the evening. I got to hold her for the first time today at 6p. An hour before I was getting released. I was so happy she was so happy! Her IV came out at 11p. Daddy came to hold her tonight when he came to get me with the kids. The twins saw her again tonight; we then went to eat at taco bell. I went home to get clothes to stay at the hospitality house. She ate so well today! The dr said we could give her a bottle today I said no I wanted the tube until she is able to breastfeed. Since that was going to be tomorrow. She said that was fine. Adams work threw him a baby shower today; it was suppose to be before the baby was to come. We got a lot of cute and great gifts!
2/23 Adam took Friday off Adam was home with the kids today. Today is Matt’s bday he is 16 that is why my mom was not there with the kids. She took him to get is license and his car. No breastfeeding today they said! GRRR. I got real upset and depressed because I called at 8 am to see if she could BF at 9a. She said because of her having still breathing issues here and there. A diff. dr saw her today which I did not like at all. Her nurse Kristi asked me why I did not want her to have a bottle. I explained why. I got there at 9:30a. At 12 p the dr said if I do not want her to have a bottle then they can not see how she well she eats and that I will prolong her stay by 5 to 7 days since she can not BF yet. I got upset and left sticking to my guns. I later called back after getting back to my room and decided after a meltdown to give in; Kristi calmed me down and said she should not get nipple confusion. At 3p she got a bottle and did great. They did the slow newborn nipple. I held her and fed her. The nurse put this cute bow in her hair. She did well and wanted more. She ate almost 2 oz total. She went to sleep on me. I came back to feed her at 9.
I stayed at the house like the Ronald McDonald house around the block until Alexis gets released. .
Sat 2/24: I came in and was told by 10 she would be off all the flow in the canula. Because it was 4 hours after being off o2. So at her 12 feeding I would be able to BF her YEAH! I had a lactation lady come the first time to the NICU to watch her eat! She said she was a champion Nurser! We did 25 min total and supplemented 15 cc by bottle. I was happy for that! I fed her around the clock. I fed at 3 and 9.my friend Angela came up to see me and the baby and we had dinner at logans. Came to see her after eating. She was put in a bassinet at 12p after being in an open crib thingy since birth. I got news then that she was going home tomorrow. She dropped to 6 lbs 13 ½ oz today. She was 7 even on wed.
2/25: came in at 9 to feed her and they told me after I BF that she would go home! I went home got Adam matt came to watch the twins. We went to the hospital had to watch a CPR video first, we went to eat lunch. And came back to BF her at 12 that was Adams first time seeing her away from NICU being Breastfed! We fed her at 3 for her discharged, and left after all the paperwork. Got home kids were sleeping. They got up when Nana got there. We took Alexis in there to get them up. Madison was thrilled and excited. Austin was no happy at all. Nana and pawpaw came in and held her. Maddy wanted to hold her and she did. Austin was still mad. She got hungry I started feeding her (BF). Madison was like “ oooohhh oooo, baby biting mommy” she cried thinking Alexis was hurting me. Austin could care less but was watching. We got all adjusted after nana left. Austin hit the baby (not hard) on the head and that was the last of him being mad about the baby, maddy just wants to hold her all the time.
Alexis ate well and slept well. We went as a family to target to get stuff for baby.

My delivery story

2/17 we go visit Meemaw at home FINALLY!! Kids could not go see her in the hospital no kids in ICU. We go to babies r us in Huntsville to get the stroller/ car seat combo and a few other things we will have to have right away. We go eat Mexican food it was good. It was snowing!!! It came down hard at meemaws and on the road on the way home. On the way home At 9:10 I start having Contractions, I decide to time them for the first time in a while. At first they are 6 to 7 min apart. Then they go to about 5 to 6 then 4 to 5. I call mom and the Dr. this goes on till 11p. I take the kids to moms after a long trip due to the snow and we stop by the house to get their pack n plays and stuff. I get to the hospital before midnight. They monitor me and decide that since I still had my cerclauge (which was coming out next week) I got in my room and was to be monitored constantly. I could not sleep at all, Adam was on the little couch they had in there. I was only allowed ice chips! The nurse came in many times to keep her on the monitor. I cont to have contractions.
2/18 I took a shower before the dr came in. She said if I cont when the dr came in at 8a I could get my cerclauge taken out and have nature take its course. Dr growdon was due to be in around 11. He came in talked to use about the options since I was only 1 cm dilated. Since the baby had not really dropped into the pelvic area yet I could wait it out there for few hours and see how I progressed. If not movement into the canal and no more dilation and still having contractions then he would C section that afternoon. He let me get up and walk; he said that does not do anything for moving labor along it only eases the pain for mom. If movement occurs and I start dilating more then we will proceed as normal. I walked for 45 min, came back to the monitor and since then they had a hard time keeping the baby on the monitor, when they did the nurses kept saying that is low heartbeat or it is galloping or is that mom or baby. She would dip when I had a contraction. Dr growdon came in and said it looked fine. But the nurses thought otherwise. He left and about an hour later they called him saying that the baby was in distress and we needed to C section ASAP. So they call for an Emergency c section. Of course I am in panic mode at this point. Praying and praying, Adam calls my mom and gets suited up. Since it was Emergency no time for epidural only a spinal. I get in the ER and get prepped up Dr growdon is on his way so his partner at the hospital starts the C section. I get the spinal which was awful I felt like I could not breathe, I was numb from chest down. The anasetiologist said if you can talk you can breathe, but said I could not take deep breaths. I was also sleepy so my eyes wanted to go to sleep, Adam keep saying stay awake. She was born at 2:32p Dr growdon came in then, she came out screaming and was grabbing some sort of cord. Adam got some good pics, they show me her for a moment and she was having trouble breathing. Her heart was fine. She had wet lungs from the c section; she and Adam go to the nursery, as I am getting sewn up. Dr growdon said that it was a good thing I had a c section because the previous c section scar was Paper thin and her placenta was thinning in spots with the cord thinning from the placenta down to the baby and it was not planted in the center as it should be it was on the edge. If I had labored we both could have lost a lot of blood. I get to my room in L & D and we call all family and stuff. They show us the Placenta and they are going to send it off to pathology. Alexis came in weighing 7 lbs 5 and ½ oz. they measured her at 18 and ½ in. Sunday night my mom slept at our house while Adam stayed with me. My mom stayed with the kids while Adam worked. Madison was ready to bring her home she was in the nursery under an oxygen hood because her lungs were retracting and breathing fast. I get to my room and Adam is allowed to go in the nursery and see her I am still in my bed with a catheter and IV. I get some good sleep I was not in any real pain. I took toradol. I got some sleep! YEAH for that. I still wanted my baby in my room, that is why I had the cerclauge and took all the precautions to have a term baby so I could have that experience but nope she had to stay there and eventually got to NICU

2/4 36 weeks pics taken. 2/10 Baby Shower My mom was suppose to throw it but due to Meemaw in the hospital I did it. Angela, Grandmamma, Lori, Celia, and Lisa show up. We had fun, chatting, Adam watched all the kids upstairs. We had finger foods, and cake. I got money from Lisa, daddy, and grandmamma, gift cards from Lori and Celia and Outfits, crib sheet, and lotion, soap and oil from Angela.

Baby info

I start going every week to the dr starting Feb 2nd. Good visit. We are going to take the cerclauge out at 38 weeks. I have an ultrasound done at 35 weeks and the baby is head down, Adam went with me. She is weighing at 6 lbs 1 oz.

Meemaws transfer

I will have to look up the date but We have Meemaw transferred to Vandy! This saved her life! We had to pat 1200 cash to have her transfered in the ambulance, it was worth every Penny!

1/27 Matt and Jess watch the babies and Adam and I go on a date! We leave at about 8 and come home at 3am! We had a blast!

My hospital Runs and Meemaw

January
I had to go to the hospital at the beginning of Jan due to non fetal movement and they had no issue with she is very active of course when we get there. And what they see is my blood sugar elevated. I had to follow up at the dr. He saw no issue with my numbers after I monitored them for a week. He just wanted me to gain weight.
I go to the Dr every two weeks of course. Meemaw goes in the hospital a few times. Jan 23 I go see meemaw in the hospital as they had to perform Emergency surgery and remove the rest of her Colon due to a perforated Bile (later found out caused from the chemo drugs)
This also landed me in the hospital after spending the night there with her. I was having contractions and they gave me 2 shots of tributaline. I went home that night. Adam had to take off work one day while I was with meemaw. Meemaw made it through the surgery that they told us she only had a 50 percent chance and no chance if she did not have the surgery. She also was alert right after, off the ventilator in 48 hours, and out of ICU within 5 days they told us none of that would happen but it did. My meemaw is a fighter!!

Xmas Morning

12/25 Xmas Morning about 9 or 9:30a we call nana and pawpaw she gets there and we go up and get the kids out of the bed. As they come down the stairs and see the Tree with stuff under it. Austin says: “Wow Cool”! Madison is excited! Austin did not want to get past the weeble house and cars garage that was unopened to open the other stuff. Plus the Stocking! Madison loved her Princess Kitchen and crayons. Oh yeah and the Candy!
Madison got princess kitchen, dolls, books, crayons, coloring books, candy, movies, game for the together gift they got leaps video game system, baby doll pack n play, stroller, highchair, swing, bouncy seat, Pink car, baby bottles, Mr. Potato head, outfit
Austin gets train set, books, crayons, candy, game, movies, People garage, Cars Mat, Mr. Potato head, Outfit
Together they got a peoples Barn, Leaps, Weeble house, Tent system.
We get ready and go to grandmammas for xmas gift exchange. Austin gets a Backyardagains guitar and Madison gets a Cabbage Patch Doll. Grandpa gets them a year’s membership to the Zoo and grandmamma gives us Money. We eat good food.
We go home to play with our toys for a little bit before bedtime.
Daddy has to go back to work tomorrow!

Ash moves out in December

Xmas eve Meemaws

We eat finger foods. Kids run around. Open gifts Madison and Austin get bikes from meemaw and poppy with training wheels. Carter gets one too. They we so excited. Meemaw enjoyed that!! Carter gets them Leap frog letters for the fridge thing. Caroline and tta gets them books. Lenis gets them a plate, bowl set with a cup spoon and fork. We leave to go home to get ready for Santa!Adam and I get all the gifts wrapped and under the tree and the stuff that is not wrapped.

GA XMAS

Thursday 21st we have dinner at grandma’s .Adam and I went shopping to finish our gifts. Grandma watched the kids. Pam came over brought gifts she got Austin a Ga Bulldog jersey and ga t-shirt. Madison got a cheerleading outfit. Adam got a GA hat. I got a cool GA bag.

12/22 Kids wake up and play with Laura, laughing and screaming! They color with Laura. We love to Color!

12/23 we have Xmas at Grandmas that night. Adam and I went to Macon that morning to get some more shopping done. Kids come with us. I get Adams gift and he gets mine. We split up in the mall. He takes Madison and I take Austin. They did real well split up.
Madison at the opening gifts part loves to clean up the paper after everyone and help everyone open their gifts. EVERYONE! Austin was more interested in playing with his remote control car with Drew. Mommy and Daddy got a crock-pot together.
Madison got a piggy bank, clothes, color glow magna doodle, money, remote control car, books, Minnie doll, crayons, doll, and Dora twin’s doll

Together an alphabet learning thing, and some other things.
Daddy gets clothes, money, towels. Mommy gets Frames, towels, gift card, and money.
We gave grandma a hand print clay thing frame with their handprints and she loved it and cried. We made Papa a canvas paint art with a photo.

12/24 we get ready go to church for the xmas eve service at Martha Bowman, our old church. We leave from there to go back home so we can be at Meemaws for Xmas eve for her gift exchanges.

Were 2 and Dr appt

December 20th 2 year check up. Adam had this day off as we were leaving for GA after the appt and lunch. We had to take Nellie with us. Austin weighs still 28 and Madison still 25. They are 1/2 in in height difference Austin being taller. They are doing good on the growth chart; we can now go to 2 percent milk.
We leave and go to Logan’s to celebrate their Birthday for lunch before we leave for GA. We get on the road. They watch their movies and then go to sleep. We get there a little late due to traffic in Atlanta. We get to grandma and grandpas and we have a mini birthday celebration. They get music boxes each and together they get a Thomas the train ball pit. They played and ran around! Then Went to bed!

Making gifts

December 19th we finish our xmas gift making, make canvas paint art, the kids paint canvases, ornaments with handprints, clay handprint frame, and other gifts. Kids loved to paint

2nd birthday Party MICKEY

December 16th two year birthday party!
We had their party at our house at 2:30p Meemaw came! Ash, Celia, Chelsea, Lori, Isaac, Shelby, grandmamma, daddy, Pat, Nana, Pawpaw, Matt, Caelan, Deb, Michael and Lisa. We had a full house! We grilled hamburgers, hotdogs. It was a Mickey Mouse theme. The kids had a short nap because meemaw got there early to see them. They had a great time! Ate cake blew out candles! Played! Austin wanted to open the actual toy out of the box after each one he unwrapped instead of just opening the wrapping paper. They got lots of Toys!

Preggo Pics

12/10 Preggo pics! Some of the first pics I took how sad! I just have been busy with my kids to take pics! I was about 29 weeks. I think I will have to look at the calendar for sure.

TIPS

December (sometime) around their bday. We got reevaluated for TIPS and Madison got to stay in and Austin is now out. Madison barely go to stay in, Austin almost got to stay in. I was happy and sad. But Mrs. Kristie gets to still come and Austin participates in the activities but does not get counted for in the program. He just gets to learn more! We have learned so much from this program. My kids now are both almost at a 3 year old level and they are not even 2 and half!!

My meemaw

Right before their bday Meemaw started Chemo Treatments. She handles the first one good but the ones after get worse. We just keep praying she gets better. She got dehydrated a few times.

First of 3 Breakfast with Santa

12/9 we went to a breakfast with Santa with TIPS. They did not like Santa at all. We tried to see the one at the mall a few days ago and it did not work either. They made Xmas cards and put their hand prints in it. They had fun coloring.

madison's Hair Cut

12/8 Madison’s First Hair cut!
She needed one to get her hair to thicken like Austin’s. Her hair is so thin she did very well!! She sat still, got her a sucker afterwards. I was so proud of her because I just knew she would throw a fit.

The Tree

11/27: We put our tree for the first time in 3 years. First was we moved in our house in Fl at the end of Dec, second was the kids were born 12/20 and I was on bed rest prior, 3rd we were at my moms house living. Now we have our house and we have a pre lit tree YEAH!!

We went and had our xmas pictures and 2 year pics done at portrait innovations. Austin was not very corporative neither was Madison for that matter. Austin would not let go of the CAR! You will see that in a pic.

Wedding

11/25 Vals Wedding: My sister got married the Sat after Thanksgiving this is the reason we left GA early. We got there at the end of the rehearsal dinner. Sat the wedding my kids were suppose to be the flower kids, I walked down with them dropping flowers. I was the photographer along with Lori and Celia. The wedding was held at the church my dad and Barbara got married at Bee springs, and the reception was held in Fayetteville at the VF hall. She had BarBQ catered it was good. The kids were restless after walking down the aisle that Adam had to take them outside, it was nice thankfully.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2006: we went to GA for Thanksgiving We leave 11/21. We got the kids DVD players to watch movies so we all could survive the trip. We have thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Lola’s and Joe’s house on thanksgiving. Wednesday before we had dinner at grandmas and grandpas, Aunt Pam came by to see us. The kids during the trip had fun we played in the leaves at grandmas, laughed with Laura in the floor. We went and saw Tim and Brenda’s new house and ate lunch with Timbo, Laura, Tim, Brenda, and Emily the day we left. We ate good food the whole time. I did not gain any weight this trip! So do date I only gained 2 lbs. I am about 25 weeks pregnant at this time.

Its a Girl

October 20th (I think that was the day) I will double check. I am 20 weeks and we go to the Dr to find out it is a GIRL!! Adam went with me to the ultrasound. She was vertex already at this point! I was happy and sad, I kind of wanted only one princess and wanted another boy, but was happy either way as long as it was full term and healthy! We got a 3d video and pics! The baby is growing well!! Cerclauge is doing great!
